Kaliningrad Gas Supply Project
A new project for supplying Kaliningrad and its region with liquefied natural gas (LNG) was developed by Eurotech in 2004. Realization of the project will provide a solution for solving the problem of gas supplying of Kaliningrad region, which has suffered from fuel shortage during the last 5 years.
For this project realization a medium-scale liquefaction plant will be construct. The inlet gas volume of the LNG production unit is planned to be 1,4 billion m3/year.
For LNG logistic and transportation supply from liquefaction facilities to the Kaliningrad
region Eurotech introduced for Gazflot a new concept of usage of 20ft and 40ft cryogenic marine tank-containers. The containers manufacture is planned to be organized in Murmansk, at joint with Eurotech offshore base complex for Shtockman, Prirazlomnoe and other Russia’s Arctic shelf fields development.
Now this project is managing to be realised in partnership with Gazflot.
